“Prairie Fire” or “Indian Paintbrush” is one of my favorite Texas wildflowers. I love how its shocking red color stands out among the bluebonnets.

This original oil painting was created using fine art quality oil bars—one of my favorite media. I use them to draw directly on the canvas with oil paint and create rich textures.

The canvas is made of heavyweight cotton stretched on a frame 1.5” deep. The painting continues around each edge of the canvas. It has been varnished with a clear, protective coat and does not need to be framed. This piece comes with a hanging wire attached and is immediately ready to go on your wall.
