I have grown black-eyed susans in my garden for the past two years. A friend gave me some seedlings at the very beginning of the pandemic in March 2020 and they came back again this spring. They have brought me so much joy. This “dancing” black-eyed susan was the first piece in the Wildflower Collection and was inspired by the flowers that greeted me each day as I walked out my front door.

This fine art oil painting was created using artist quality oil bars—one of my favorite media. I use them to draw directly on the canvas with oil paint and create rich textures.

The canvas is made of heavyweight cotton stretched on a frame 1.5” deep. The painting continues around each edge of the canvas. It has been varnished with a clear, protective coat and does not need to be framed. This piece comes with a hanging wire attached and is immediately ready to go on your wall.
