This year, my favorite bluebonnets were those I saw growing between the cracks of the sidewalk in my neighborhood. Their resilience inspired me to keep going after more than a year of pandemic life. This piece celebrates that resilience in sweeping paint strokes and vibrant color.

This fine art oil painting was created using artist quality oil bars—one of my favorite media. I use them to draw directly on the canvas with oil paint and create rich textures.

The canvas is made of heavyweight cotton stretched on a frame 1.5” deep. The painting continues around each edge of the canvas. It has been varnished with a clear, protective coat and does not need to be framed. This piece comes with a hanging wire attached and is immediately ready to go on your wall.
